Room Parents are an invaluable part of the Patton community. Room Parent responsibilities will vary from teacher to teacher. Room parents are encouraged to set up a one on one meeting with their teacher to establish expectations for the school year. If you are interested in being a room parent, talk to your teacher directly to find out if they are still looking to fill this position for the current school year. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Act as an activities coordinator for celebrations in the classroom and coordinate volunteers and donations for these events as needed.
- Assist the teacher in the classroom and with material preparation if requested or help recruit other parents for these tasks.
- Collect donations and purchase gifts for the teacher for special occasions like birthdays, holiday gift, Teacher Appreciation Days, end of school year, etc.
